Memory Eternal is a collaborative project born out of a chance encounter at a Soft Kill concert, where Tim Mestas (aka Yuri-095) and Sam Bass were introduced through a mutual friend. What began as a long-distance exchange of stems over email gradually took shape into something larger — one of those early collaborations, Eternal Memory, found its way onto the debut album Memory Eternal (I).
When Sam relocated to the city, the two began working in person, and the project crystallized. Drawing from a shared obsession with post-punk, goth, new wave, and witch house, and filtered through the lens of video games, anime, philosophy, and ancient Christian theology, Memory Eternal became a space where those worlds collapse into each other. Sam handles bass and guitar while Tim takes on vocals, synthesizers, and additional guitar and bass — both programming drums together and building the rhythmic foundation that holds everything in place.
